Elizabeth Longcor joined the firm following her graduation from Drake Law School in May 2022, and being sworn in as a member of the Iowa Bar in September 2022. She has been an integral part of the CashattWarren Family Law team since joining the firm as a law clerk in 2020, and regularly accompanied attorneys to hearings and trials (video and in person) as a law clerk. In law school, Elizabeth represented clients through the Drake Family Law Clinic. She is a skilled writer and has assisted in multiple appellate cases. Elizabeth’s combination of education and experiences caused her to choose Family Law as a practice area because “we have an opportunity to impact and help people and families during a very challenging time.”

Elizabeth completed the 40-hour mediation training to become an Iowa Mediator before finishing law school. In 2023, she attended the AAML Institute for Family Law Associates where she received training and mentoring from top family law practitioners nationwide. In 2024, Elizabeth attended the American Bar Association’s Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute, an intensive week-long training program focused on development of trial skills in family law. In 2025, Elizabeth was one of ten attorneys selected to participate in the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAFL) Institute for Further Learning, a program focused on cross-border legal questions and international Conventions.

Elizabeth hails from Dike-New Hartford and played collegiate volleyball at Wartburg College, where she received multiple All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. Elizabeth and her husband Mitch have a Bernese Mountain Dog, Rumour, who is an energetic member of the office canine support team.
